LISTEN DISCUSS AND READ WITH AN OPEN MIND

The best piece of advice I have I have ever come across which has been handed over from generation to generation is found in the RIGVEDA.

“LET NOBLE THOUGHTS COME TO US FROM EVERY SIDE”.

If all who read this advice though of it and put it into practice, many wars and much human suffering could be avoided, and the world today would be a much better place to live in.

“Think with an open mind” suggest the psychologist”.

“Have a broad mind”, advises the sociologist, and you will avoid many ulcers and be happier as well.

And, yet most of us, in one way or other, are narrow minded and prejudiced. Often we shut out the truth and dim the brightest. We avoid any evidence that would refute our beliefs.

It is the mark of a superior mind to open itself to new thinking and logical reasoning.

Listen, discuss and read with an open mind. Search for the new ideas. They may come from many, different, and unexpected sources.

Life is made happy by the open mindedness and deep rooted trust we have in one another.
