ROSES AND THORNS

A certain man planted a rose and watered it faithfully, and before it blossomed, he examined it. He saw the bud that would soon blossom and also the thorns. And he thought, How can any beautiful flower come from a plant burdened with so many sharp thorns Saddened by this thought, he neglected to water the rose, and before it was ready to bloom, it died.

So it is with many people. Within every soul there is a rose. The God-like qualities planted in us at birth grow amid the thorns of our faults. Many of us look at ourselves and see only the thorns, the defects.

We despair, thinking that nothing good can possibly come from us. We neglect to water the good within us, and eventually it dies. We never realize our potential. Some people do not see the rose within themselves; someone else must show it to them. One of the greatest gifts a person can possess is to be able to reach past the thorns and find the rose within others.

This is the characteristic of love, to look at a person, and knowing his faults, recognize the nobility in his soul, and help him realize that he can overcome his faults. If we show him the rose, he will conquer the thorns.

Lesson to learn From This Message : Our duty in this world is to help others by showing them their roses and not their thorns. Only then can we achieve the love we should feel for each other; only then can we bloom in our own garden.

LOVE

A FEW DAYS BACK I READ THIS STORY AND IT TOUCHED MY HEART SO POSTING IN MY BLOG:
It was a busy morning, approximately 8:30AM, when an elderly gentleman in his 80's, arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He stated that he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 AM.
As a nurse, I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would to able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound.
On exam, it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his stitches and redress his wound. While taking care of his wound, we began to engage in conversation. I asked him if he had another doctor's appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry.
The elderly gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife. I then inquired as to her health. He told me that she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer's as we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late. He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now.
(Note: Alzheimer's destroys brain cells, causing problems with memory, thinking and behavior severe enough to affect work, lifelong hobbies or social life.I was surprised, and asked him, "And you still go every morning, even though she doesn't know who you are?").
He smiled as he patted my hand and said, "She doesn't know me, but I still know who she is."I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm, and thought, "That is the kind of love I want in my life."

True love is neither physical, nor romantic. True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be and will not be.
The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have.
Treat every relationship as if it's the last one, then you'll know how to Give.
Treat every moment as if it's the last day, then you'll know how to Treasure.
Treasure what you have right now, or else may regret one day...

SEE GOOD IN EVERYTHING

Always look to the good side of men and matters. Even when you come across people who are rude to you, feel that god has provided you with an opportunity for strengthening your mind through their behaviour. Always see what is good in others in order to develop that particular good quality in yourself.

See no evil. But if you happen to notice any, see that evil does not come to you. God created both good and evil in this world for us to learn. From the good we learn to be good and from the evil we learn to be free from evil. Therefore, both good and evil are really good only.

Make others happy as you strive to make yourself happy. You cannot always have happiness, but you can always give happiness.
Speak a helpful world. Give a cheering smile. Wipe the tears of one who is in distress. Render smooth a rough place on another’s path. Regard your neighbor’s happiness as your own happiness, and your neighbour’s pain as your pain.

HOLD YOUR HEAD HIGH!

Standing for what you believe in regardless of the problems and the pressure that breaks your resistance is Courage.

Keeping a smile on your face when inside you feel like quitting, for the sake of supporting others is Strength.

Doing what is in your heart that you know is right is Determination.Doing more than is expected to make another's life a little more bearable, without uttering a word is Compassion.

Helping a friend in need, no matter the time or effort, to the best of your ability is Loyality.

Holding your head high and being the best, facing each difficulty with the confidence that time will bring you better tomorrows and never giving up is confidence.

Hold your head high and make your life better every day!

THE WOMEN IN YOUR LIFE

Tomorrow you may get a working woman, but you should marry her with these facts as well. Here is a girl, who is as much educated as you are; Who is earning almost as much as you do;

One, who has dreams and aspirations just as you have because she is as human as you are; One, who has never entered the kitchen in her life just like you or your sister, as she was busy in studies and competing in a system that gives no special concession to girls for their culinary achievements.

One, who has lived and loved her parents & brothers & sisters, almost as much as you do for 20-25 years of her life; One, who has bravely agreed to leave behind all that, her home, people who love her, to adopt your home, your family, your ways and even your family ,name One, who is somehow expected to be a master-chef from day 1, while you sleep oblivious to her predicament in her new circumstances, environment and that kitchen.

One, who is expected to make the tea, first thing in the morning and cook food at the end of the day, even if she is as tired as you are, maybe more, and yet never ever expected to complain; to be a servant, a cook, a mother, a wife, even if she does not want to; and is learning just like you are as to what you want from her; and is clumsy and sloppy at times and knows that you won ' t like it if she is too demanding, or if she learns faster than you; One, who has her own set of friends, and that includes boys and even men at her workplace too, those, who she knows from school days and yet is willing to put all that on the back-burners to avoid your irrational jealousy, unnecessary competition and your inherent insecurities; One, who can be late from work once in a while when deadlines, just like yours, are to be met;

One, who is doing her level best and wants to make this most important, relationship in her entire life a grand success, if you just help her some and trust her; One, who just wants one thing from you, as you are the only one she knows in your entire house - your unstinted support, your sensitivities and most importantly - your understanding, or love, if you may call it. But not many guys understand this......

THE SECRETS OF POSTIVE PEOPLE

Positive people tend to have many similar characteristics, such asrespecting everyone's contribution to a project and knowing duringhard times that things will get better. They have the power to make that change happen, an understanding that their attitudes can directly affect outcomes, and a commitment to increasing positive thoughts and diminishing negative ones. Are you putting effort towards becoming amore positive person?Avoid complaining when things are turning sour, realize that thenegatives and the positives in life will level out, and takeresponsibility for your life and actions. You are the only person responsible for your attitude--and your life

TRUE LOVE

Love is a house built on the firm foundation of understanding. True love is an essence of a feeling in a soul. It is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be and will not be. It is the feeling of true happiness, language that heart’s express, unselfish, understanding and kind, it sees with its heart and not with its mind”.” Love is an intense feeling of caring for another person. It can take many different forms (Romantic, friendly, familial) but it is always about caring.Without love, caring relationships and compassion, life is indeed a dry and shallow thing.

This intangible thing love...enters into every theraputic relationship. It is an element which finds and heals, which comforts and restores.Where there is love, there's a heaven! Although one would be hard- pressed to define a romantic attraction as "love." They are really not at all the same things.

In her article, "Turning Sweet Nothings into Sweet Somethings," Marjorie Holmes points out some differences between romance and authentic love: • Romance is seeking perfection, love is forgiving faults.
• Romance is flying, love is a safe landing.
• Romance is the anguish of waiting for the phone to ring to bring you a voice that will utter endearments; love is the anguish of waiting for a call that will assure you someone else is happy and safe.
• Romance is eager, striving always to appear attractive for each other, love is two people who find beauty in each other no matter how they look.
(Authentic love will find many expressions -- the love of spouses; the love of friends; the love of families. And if your love is real, watch out -- once it starts growing, there's nothing that can stop it!) I thought let me pick one very old Hindi song that most aptly puts my idea of "LOVE" into words. Gulzar pens the lyrics. This song is one that really moves me.
The lyrics, the music everything. The lyrics of Gulzar are amazing from the word go. Never has this concept been so well put in words as by Gulzar in this one song from the movie “KHAMOSHI” (1969).The song is the pick of the lot. Ham Ne Dekhii Hai In Aa.Nkho.N Kii Mahakatii KhushubuuHaath Se Chhuuke Ise Rishto.N Kaa Ilzaam Na DoSirf Ehasaas Hai Ye Ruuh Se Mehasoos KaroPyaar Ko Pyaar Hii Rehane Do Koii Naam Na Do.Meaning of the song: (I have felt the lingering fragrance of those eyes, don’t try and touch it with your hands to brand it as a relationship, it is only a sensation, this thing they call love, feel it with your soul and let it remain at that, don’t cubbyhole it with a name).

“LOVE IS TO HUMAN HEART'S WHAT'S THE SUN IS TO FLOWERS”. Love is the best beauty treatment in the world. There is nothing that adds beauty and radiance to a human face like the presence of love in the heart. One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life: that word is LOVE.
Love is patient, kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres and self less. If you have it [love], you don't need to have anything else. If you don't have it, it doesn't matter much what else you do have.Last but not least when love becomes limited to words, it becomes meaningless.True Love is a circle (infinite), Circling forever thru all time and can take many directions which has no end.

DEVELOP A GOOD PERSONALITY

Personality is the distinctive character or qualities of a person. Each one is an individual and is different from others. People who possess a good personality are admired and appreciated by everybody. Personality can be said to be the sum total of qualities that a person possesses. It is very necessary to have a good personality. It can be developed if one tries to cultivate certain habits and qualities. There is a belief that personality is inborn. It is not true. Personality can be developed through cultivation of good habits. One should avoid bad manners, dishonesty and selfishness. One should develop positive qualities like sincerity, courage, generosity, self-confidence, etc.The appearance of a person has its importance. One should be neat and tidy. Our clothes should be neat and clean. We should have a pleasant appearance. A smile adds charm. The way a person walks talks and deals with others tells us a lot about his or her personality.
Fashionable clothes or good looks are not necessary for a good personality. Our physical build does not add or reduce our personality. Napoleon had a great personality even though he was of very short statue. Abraham Lincoln and Mahatma Gandhi were lean and thin. Yet they had wonderful personalities. Little things are important in developing good personality one need not worry about one’s background. One should think positively and have faith in GOD. ONE should also have faith in oneself. To have good personality, one should have a good character. The mind should be pure and clean. The face is the index of the mind. This is one of the secrets of developing a good personality. Let us start today, let us start now to develop or to improve our personality.

LEARN TO TOLERATE

Tolerance is acceptance or willingness to tolerate. Tolerance is a quality very much needed in society. Just as the five fingers of a hand are different, so are people around us. Everyone is different in appearance, in habits, in behaviour, in dealings and in so many other different ways. If there is to be harmony and understanding in life, it is very necessary to have tolerance. There are differences in every activity. Friendly living calls for tolerance at every step. Human beings live in society. Therefore it is very necessary to develop the quality of tolerance for peaceful co-existence.What one says may be correct and what another says may not be wrong. No one must feel that what he or she says is the only correct thing and whatever others say is wrong. This is where tolerance comes in. We must develop this quality when we are young. As we grow up and as we move from place to place, we come across many differences. Each country has its own customs and traditions.we have to accept them as they are,We should not laught at them, this is where especially tolerance comes in.parents must tolerate children.Teachers must tolerate students. Students have to tolerate teachers. When we fail to tolerate, life becomes unpleasant. Early training helps to develop this quality. We must learn to tolerate others for others have to tolerate us. This mutual understanding will make life better for everybody.

Sri Swathi Thirunal Rama Varma was the Rajah of the ancient princely state of Travancore, which he ruled from 1829 till 1846 when he passed away. At the same time, he was also a great patron of music and a musician himself. Though he was himself an aficionado of the south Indian Carnatic music, he encouraged the people in his kingdom to pursue Hindustani music genre as well. Swathi Thirunal holds the credit of composing more than 400 musical compositions. His favorite was Padmanabha Pahi, Deva Deva, Sarasijanabha and Sree Ramana Vibho.

Apart from his contribution in the field of music, the rajah also built up various renowned establishments like the Astronomical Observatory in Thiruvananthapuram, museum, zoo, the government press, Trivandrum public library that's now called the State Central Library, the Oriental Manuscript Library and other units.

The life history of Sri Swathi Thirunal Rama Varma's interest in music can be traced to his childhood. He strived to master languages in which he found good music. As such, his music training started with lessons from Karamana Subrahmania Bhagavathar and Karamana Padmanabha Bhagavathar. After this, he learnt about music from his English teacher Subbarao. He went on learning music just by listening to renowned musicians and practicing by himself.

It was this phase when music and other art forms were flourishing in various parts of South India. The triumvirate of Carnatic music, Tyagaraja, Syama Sastri and Muthuswami Dikshitar enhanced the music of this era. Infact, the royal palace of Swati Tirunal accommodated numerous musicians and artistes of the period like the renowned Thanjavur Quartet brothers, Tyagaraja's disciple Kannayya Bhagavathar, Maharashtrian singer Ananthapadmanabha Goswami and so on.

MOTHER TERESA QUOTE

Here are some famous quotes by Mother Teresa. These quotes reveal her thinking and are a guiding light and source of inspiration to others.
Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.
Do not think that love, in order to be genuine, has to be extraordinary. What we need is to love without getting tired.
Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat.
Do not wait for leaders; do it alone, person to person.
Everybody today seems to be in such a terrible rush, anxious for greater developments and greater riches and so on, so that children have very little time for their parents. Parents have very little time for each other, and in the home begins the disruption of peace of the world.
Good works are links that form a chain of love.
Everytime you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.
I am a little pencil in the hand of a writing God who is sending a love letter to the world.
I do not pray for success, I ask for faithfulness.
I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much.
I have found the paradox, that if you love until it hurts, there can be no more hurt, only more love.
I think I'm more difficult than critical.
I want you to be concerned about your next door neighbor. Do you know your next door neighbor?
I try to give to the poor people for love what the rich could get for money. No, I wouldn't touch a leper for a thousand pounds; yet I willingly cure him for the love of God. " If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.
If we want a love message to be heard, it has got to be sent out. To keep a lamp burning, we have to keep putting oil in it.
If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one.
If you judge people, you have no time to love them.
If you want a love message to be heard, it has got to be sent out. To keep a lamp burning, we have to keep putting oil in it.
In this life we cannot do great things. We can only do small things with great love.
Intense love does not measure, it just gives.
It is a kingly act to assist the fallen.
It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish.
It is easy to love the people far away. It is not always easy to love those close to us. It is easier to give a cup of rice to relieve hunger than to relieve the loneliness and pain of someone unloved in our own home. Bring love into your home for this is where our love for each other must start.
It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love that is put into them that matters.
It is impossible to walk rapidly and be unhappy
Jesus said love one another. He didn't say love the whole world.
Joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls.
Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.
Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love.
Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. Money is not enough, money can be got, but they need your hearts to love them. So, spread your love everywhere you go.
Let us more and more insist on raising funds of love, of kindness, of understanding, of peace. Money will come if we seek first the Kingdom of God - the rest will be given.
Let us touch the dying, the poor, the lonely and the unwanted according to the graces we have received and let us not be ashamed or slow to do the humble work.
Loneliness and the feeling of being unwanted is the most terrible poverty.
Loneliness is the most terrible poverty.
Love begins at home, and it is not how much we do... but how much love we put in that action.
Love is a fruit in season at all times, and within reach of every hand.
Love begins by taking care of the closest ones - the ones at home.
Many people mistake our work for our vocation. Our vocation is the love of Jesus.
One of the greatest diseases is to be nobody to anybody.
Our life of poverty is as necessary as the work itself. Only in heaven will we see how much we owe to the poor for helping us to love God better because of them.
Peace begins with a smile.
So many signatures for such a small heart.
Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.
Sweetest Lord, make me appreciative of the dignity of my high vocation, and its many responsibilities. Never permit me to disgrace it by giving way to coldness, unkindness, or impatience.
The biggest disease today is not leprosy or tuberculosis, but rather the feeling of being unwanted.
The greatest destroyer of peace is abortion because if a mother can kill her own child, what is left for me to kill you and you to kill me? There is nothing between.
The hunger for love is much more difficult to remove than the hunger for bread.
The most terrible poverty is loneliness and the feeling of being unloved.
The miracle is not that we do this work, but that we are happy to do it.
The success of love is in the loving - it is not in the result of loving. Of course it is natural in love to want the best for the other person, but whether it turns out that way or not does not determine the value of what we have done.
There are no great things, only small things with great love. Happy are those.
There is always the danger that we may just do the work for the sake of the work. This is where the respect and the love and the devotion come in - that we do it to God, to Christ, and that's why we try to do it as beautifully as possible.
There is more hunger in the world for love and appreciation in this world than for bread.
There must be a reason why some people can afford to live well. They must have worked for it. I only feel angry when I see waste. When I see people throwing away things that we could use.
There should be less talk; a preaching point is not a meeting point. What do you do then? Take a broom and clean someone's house. That says enough.
We are all pencils in the hand of God.
We can do no great things, only small things with great love.
We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence... We need silence to be able to touch souls.
We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.
We shall never know all the good that a simple smile can do.
We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty.
Words which do not give the light of Christ increase the darkness.
We, the unwilling, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much, for so long, with so little,we are now qualified to do anything with nothing.

Her selfless work among the poverty-stricken people of Kolkata (Calcutta) is an inspiration for people all over the world and she was honored with Nobel Prize for her work.

Mother Teresa's original name was Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu. She was born on August 27, 1910 in Skopje, Macedonia. Her father was a successful merchant and she was youngest of the three siblings. At the age of 12, she decided that she wanted to be a missionary and spread the love of Christ. At the age of 18 she left her parental home in Skopje and joined the Sisters of Loreto, an Irish community of nuns with missions in India.

After a few months of training at the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Dublin Mother Teresa came to India. On May 24, 1931, she took her initial vows as a nun. From 1931 to 1948, Mother Teresa taught geography and catechism at St. Mary's High School in Calcutta. However, the prevailing poverty in Calcutta had a deep impact on Mother Teresa's mind and in 1948, she received permission from her superiors to leave the convent school and devote herself to working among the poorest of the poor in the slums of Calcutta.

After a short course with the Medical Mission Sisters in Patna, she returned to Calcutta and found temporary lodging with the Little Sisters of the Poor. She started an open-air school for homeless children. Soon she was joined by voluntary helpers, and she received financial support from church organizations and the municipal authorities. On October 7, 1950, Mother Teresa received permission from the Vatican to start her own order. Vatican originally labeled the order as the Diocesan Congregation of the Calcutta Diocese, and it later came to known as the "Missionaries of Charity". The primary task of the Missionaries of Charity was to take care of those persons who nobody was prepared to look after.

The Missionaries of Charity, which began as a small Order with 12 members in Calcutta, today has more than 4,000 nuns running orphanages, AIDS hospices, charity centres worldwide, and caring for refugees, the blind, disabled, aged, alcoholics, the poor and homeless and victims of floods, epidemics and famine in Asia, Africa, Latin America, North America, Poland, and Australia. In 1965, by granting a Decree of Praise, Pope Paul VI granted Mother Teresa permission to expand her order to other countries. The order's first house outside India was in Venezuela. Presently, the "Missionaries of Charity" has presence in more than 100 countries.

Mother Teresa's work has been recognised and acclaimed throughout the world and she has received a number of awards and distinctions. These include the Pope John XXIII Peace Prize (1971), Nehru Prize for Promotion of International Peace & Understanding (1972), Balzan Prize (1978), Nobel Peace Prize (1979) and Bharat Ratna (1980).

On March 13, 1997, Mother Teresa stepped down from the head of Missionaries of Charity and died on September 5, 1997, just 9 days after her 87th birthday. Following Mother Teresa's death, the Holy See began the process of beatification, the second step towards possible canonization, or sainthood. This process requires the documentation of a miracle performed from the intercession of Mother Teresa. In 2002, the Vatican recognized as a miracle the healing of a tumor in the abdomen of an Indian woman, Monica Besra, following the application of a locket containing Teresa's picture. Monica Besra said that a beam of light emanated from the picture, curing the cancerous tumor. Mother Teresa was formally beatified by Pope John Paul II on October 19, 2003 with the title Blessed Teresa of Calcutta. A second miracle is required for her to proceed to canonization.

"WHY DO WE SHOUT IN ANGER"

This is a beautiful message that I colledted a couple of days ago. It truly gave a new perspective to the following question, “Why do we shout in anger?”

An enlightening piece of information!!! I am sure you will enjoy it as much as I did.

Here it is, as from the forward…

A saint asked his disciples, “Why do we shout in anger? Why do people shout at each other when they are upset?”

Disciples thought for a while and one of them said, “Because we lose our calm, we shout for that.” “But, why to shout when the other person is just next to you?” asked the saint. “Isn’t it possible to speak to him or her with a soft voice? Why do you shout at a person when you’re angry?’”

Disciples gave some other answers but none were close to what the saint was expecting.

Finally he explained, “When two people are angry at each other, their hearts distance a lot. To cover that distance they must shout to be able to hear each other. The angrier they are, the stronger they will have to shout to hear each other through that great distance”.

Then the saint asked, “What happens when two people fall in love? They don’t shout at each other but talk softly, why? “Because their hearts are very close, the distance between them is very small…’” He further asked “When they love each other even more, what happens? He answered, “They do not speak. They only whisper and they get even closer to each other in their love. Finally they don’t even need have whisper, they only look at each other and that’s it, they understand each other that well. That is how close two people are when they love each other.”

MORAL: When you argue, do not let your hearts get distant, do not say words that further distance each other, for there will come a day when the distance is so great that you may not find the path to return.

GOD MY BEST FRIEND!

Right from childhood I have believed in the existence of God .There could be no better proof of God's existence than in Nature. I can feel God's presence in serene countryside’s or when I see the flowers, fruits, mountains, sea, and when I see children. I see the birth of the children as miracles performed by God.

Right from childhood I have believed in the existence of God and for years now, I have formed a habit of praying every day. I have a firm faith in the existence of a supreme power. Without His blessings, I am nothing and I always used to think that without god blessings nothing can be achieved; along with hard work, God's blessings are important. My belief in God is my strength. I believe that He is the one who looks after me and whatever I have achieved in life is only because of his blessings through His grace.

I personally feel that faith in the Almighty gives one strength and helps in coping with crisis. As human beings, negative thoughts come easily to our mind. Trust and total faith in God gives us the strength to go through the ups and downs of life. With patience and prayers one can go a long way. For me trust or prayer is not asking things from God. It is thankfulness and gratitude for what is already there, and I just ask to be with me always, and make me a good human being.

GOD IS EVERYWHERE.God is inside us, in our hearts. For me Humanity is the higest religion and I believe religion is a private affair and it saddens me to see people manipulating it these days. Religion is about other people - helping others, not hurting others. Religion is supposed to be a unifying force and all religions teach us love and kindness. I opined that one should not fight in the name of religion. I believe that faith in God makes us humble and if we are God-fearing, we cannot harm anyone.

I strongly believe in karma. I've read many books to figure out the mysteries of life and existence but ultimately, I found that the answer lies in our karma. This also makes one more accepting towards the painful occurrences in our life. And it makes one realize the importance of having good karma. I believe in destiny - that certain things are meant to happen and certain things are not. But that does not imply that we sit back and blame everything on destiny. Like it's said, DO YOUR BEST, GOD WILL DO THE REST. We have to put in the effort but despite that if we don't succeed, then that's destiny.

Daily prayer brings peace of mind. My prayers are mostly in the form of conversations that I have with God. I strongly feel the presence of God in everything I do. I see God not in temples or in a deity, but in everyday life. God wants for us is to behave well with our fellow human beings. I feel I can directly talk to God. My belief and my fear in God make me subconsciously try to do the right thing. Because I fear that any wrong done, comes back to us. As you sow, so you reap. I feel the presence of God is in my work. It's the most important thing in my life. I believe that being sincere, honest, hardworking and committed, brings me closer to the divine. I don't intentionally harm anyone or use unscrupulous methods to move ahead in life. Even to succeed in profession, I don't undercut my rivals. I treat everyone, from friends to office-boys, with respect. This is my faith towards my life .

Prayer is one of the best free gifts we receive. Happy moments, praise God.Difficult moments, seek God.Quiet moments, worship GodPainful moments, trust God.Every moment, thank God.

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING IN THE WORLD!

Hoping to paint "the most beautiful thing in the world" an artist asked three people what they thought it might be…

"FAITH" replied the clergyman, "you will find it at every altar"

"LOVE" said a young bride. "LOVE Builds poverty into riches, it sweetens tears; makes much of little. Without it there is no beauty.

"PEACE" is the most beautiful thing in the world," answered a weary soldier, "War is ugly. Wherever you find peace, you find beauty".

"FAITH, LOVE PEACE! How can I paint them! "Wondered the artist.

Entering his home he saw faith in the eyes of his children and love in the eyes of his wife. And in his home, he saw the peace that love and faith had built.

So he painted "The most beautiful thing in the world". And he called it "Home".

Home is the laugh of a baby, the song of a mother, the strength of a father, the warmth of loving hearts, light from happy eyes, kindness, loyalty, and comradeship.

Home is the first school and the first temple for the young. Here they learn what is right, what is good, and what is kind.

Home is where they go for comfort when they are hurt or sick. where joy is shared and sorrow eased, where father's and mother's are respected and loved, where children are wanted and treasured, where money is not as important as loving kindness, where even the tea-kettle sings for happiness…

That is The place called HOME! God Bless!!!

PROUD TO BE AN INDIAN

“JANANI JANMABHUMISHCHA SWARGADAPI GARIYASI” Mother and motherland are greater by far than even heaven. India is our country/Temple and we are its worshipper. India, my homeland; India, my beloved. India, my fate;India, my religion, where humanity is the religion. In the entire world there is no other India. All Religions co-exist here. Everyone has respect. The land is fertile, nourish valor and strength. India has something in the air”, the very air is holy, the very dust of India is holy, and it is holy land the place of pilgrimage. With every step here, the earth changes color, every shade of the rainbow lives within our speech, the weather wears a turban of pale green, and the sky stretches overhead like a blue sheet, Golden Rivers, green oceans, entire land is holy.

Here the ancient sages planted seeds of moral strength courage and enlightenment; they showed us a way of living a life of purity. The land where humanity has attained it’s highest towards gentleness, towards generosity towards purity, towards calmness, above all, the land of introspection and of spirituality.

Whichever the country you go what ever heights you reach, remember to praise your mother land – “BHARATH” and keep the dignity of your clan. No greater land is there than this any where and no braver people than us any where. Know not what good I performed in my previous birth and know not what yoga I might have performed before, I have been blessed to be born in this heavenly land. Not sure what precious flowers I worshipped with I have been blessed to be born to this mother land.

The best country in world is India. August 15th, 1947 is the birthday of free India. It marks for her the end of an old era, the beginning of a new age. It's a day of freedom from the arduous British rule, 15th August is celebrated in India as Independence Day. To commemorate the sacrifice of martyrs Indians celebrate this day to pay homage to the brave patriots who gave Indians a reason to smile. Since we got our Independence we have come a long way, we have achieved many successes, and have conquered new heights. There are several people who sacrifices there life for the freedom of our country. I am saluting them all from my Heart. Let’s remember the martyr’s, let’s bow our heads in their respect, without them freedom would have been a dream.

It's our Independence Day on August 15! Celebrate the free spirit of India and share the pride of being a part of such a glorious nation. Share the spirit of Indian freedom to your near ones and have the pride of being an Indian.

It doesn’t matter in which country you are living. But the most important thing is the feelings attached to one’s own country. It shows the love for motherland. Let's do something for INDIA no matter where we are....Agar khoon Hindustani hai to dil bhi Hindustani hi hoga Na.

India will be raised, not with the power of the flesh but with the power of the spirit, not with the flag of destruction but with the flag of peace and love.
WISH ALL INDIANS staying all across the GLOBE Advance HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY 2009.

PRAYER SONG (FILM)

Dear FRIENDS, pray for every one. If we love those who love us than there is no difference but if we love those who hate us than it is special. Let us create world peace by being peaceful within ourselves first. This is what this song says.

Brilliant composition by the late legendary Vasant Desai in raaga "Kedar" .
Many of you may have heard this song sung by Vani jayaram in the famous film "Guddi".
I would like to start my blog entry with this prayer for it is one of my favourite one. This is not a just song or pray for me. It's been an inspiration for me. It’s a prayer about first cleansing and strengthening oneself before finding fault with others.

This is one of the best prayers I liked since my childhood. A beautiful prayer song. To be cherished on and on and makes you feel so close to god. This prayer always tears me up; it's so close to my heart. Presenting Guddi By hrishikesh mukherjee enjoy.
