Christmas is the historical encounter, the decisive encounter, between God and mankind. The real spirit of Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind, to cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy. It remembers me a giving heart, a wide open heart that thinks of others first. He who has faith knows this truly; let him rejoice. Christmas is all about god and love. Love is the key to peace among all mankind and happiness within all creation.
I am not a Christian in the conventional sense but I find very good values and message in this festival. Christ was born as a human being and lived throughout as GOD'S beloved child and he sacrificed his life for uplifting the sinners. He did not despise even the worst sinner but took him in to him and refined him. From this festival especially one can know to love selflessly and do something positive for others. Somehow, not only for Christmas, but all the long year through, the joy that you give to others, is the joy that comes back to you. And the more you spend in blessing the poor and lonely and sad, the more of your hearts possessing, Returns to you glad.
Christmas is a time of reflection and thanks. Remembering the true meaning of Christmas can be done in a variety of ways. This might mean taking time to pray and read passages from the Bible with your family. Regardless of how you choose to celebrate this wonderful holiday and this miraculous event, I hope it is a time that is full of joy and love with the ones you care about. I trust that your Christmas will be filled with warmth and meaning as you gather with your loved ones and reflect on the true meaning of this blessed day.
