MEANING OF JAI HIND!!!!!

Jai Hind (Devanagiri: जय हिंद) is a salutation most commonly used in India in speeches and communications pertaining to or referring to patriotism towards India (also known as Hindi). It means roughly "Victory to India" or "Long live India". The Indian revolutionary Dr. Champakaraman Pillai introduced the salutation. It has since captured the imagination of Indians and has been immortalised by Subhash Chandra Bose as the battle cry of the Indian National Army.

Follower of S.C. Bose and young freedom fighter Ramchandra Moreshwar Karkare of Gwalher now called as Gwalior, Madhya Bharat, wrote a patriotic drama "JAI HIND" based on facts and published a book in Hindi, Jai Hind. Later on after few years Ramchandra Karkare became congress president of Central India Province. He took part in freedom struggle with Famous CHANDRA SHEKHAR Azad.
