PRAYER SONG (FILM)

Dear FRIENDS, pray for every one. If we love those who love us than there is no difference but if we love those who hate us than it is special. Let us create world peace by being peaceful within ourselves first. This is what this song says.

Brilliant composition by the late legendary Vasant Desai in raaga "Kedar" .
Many of you may have heard this song sung by Vani jayaram in the famous film "Guddi".
I would like to start my blog entry with this prayer for it is one of my favourite one. This is not a just song or pray for me. It's been an inspiration for me. It’s a prayer about first cleansing and strengthening oneself before finding fault with others.

This is one of the best prayers I liked since my childhood. A beautiful prayer song. To be cherished on and on and makes you feel so close to god. This prayer always tears me up; it's so close to my heart. Presenting Guddi By hrishikesh mukherjee enjoy.

Hum ko man kee shakti denaa, man vijay kare
Oh, God provide us with inner strength to enable us to be in control of our emotions
dusaron kee jay se pahale, khud ko jay kareTo be able to achieve victory on ourselves prior to victory on others
1st stanza:
Bhed bhaav apnay dil se saaf kar sakay
May be able to remove difference from our hearts
doston se bhool ho to maaf kar sake
Able to pardon the mistakes of our friends
joot se bache rahe, sach kaa dum bhare
Able to stay away from lies and take pride in truth
dusaron kee jay se pahale, khud ko jay kare
To be able to achieve victory on ourselves prior to victory on others

2nd stanza:

Mushkilen padain to hum pe, itnaa karm kar
In tough times bestow divine grace upon us
saath dain to dharm kaa, chalen to dharam Par
Able to follow the path of truth and righteousness
khud pe hausla rahe, badi se naa darain
To have confidence in our abilities and not to be afraid of evil
dusaron kee jay se pahale, khud ko jay kare
To be able to achieve victory on ourselves prior to victory on others

  1. Excellent.

May I also draw your attention to the song"Aye Maalik tere Bandhe hum........" also by Vasant Desai in V.Shantaram's film of 1957 : Do Aankhen Baraah Hath, which is also a great prayer.
