TO GROW UP IN LIFE

Two poor friends from a small village met at a local tea shop and decided to do something to become rich. The first friend suggested, “Purchase a buffalo and start selling milk. After some time, it shall have calves and the animals will get multiplied. After reaching some stability, open a dairy farm and progressively start export of milk products.”

The second friend liked the idea. With the decision to start the business, both parted. After few years, the second friend who was driving his own car saw his old friend standing at the same old tea shop. He stopped his car and came to his old friend. The first friend was still in the pathetic condition.

He asked, “How could you become so rich?” The second friend answered, “It were you who gave me the idea of milk business and today I have a flourishing export business of milk products. But why are you the same poor man? What happened to you? Didn’t you start milk business?”

The first friend answered, “That day, I went home and explained the idea to my wife. After listening patiently to my plan, my wife asked me a simple question, “WHAT IF THE BUFFALO DIES?”

Moral of the Story: In order to grow up in life, one needs to take calculated risks at various points. The more the risks one dares to take, the more experience he gains, the more successful he becomes.

“Without your involvement, you cannot succeed. Without your involvement, you cannot fail” - Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.
